Stone Carving and Coppersmith
Pete has always had a strong connection to the outdoors. He gets his inspiration from form and texture found in the western landscape. He started carving stone ten years ago with alabaster collected in Utah. He collects his own stone, each one by its color and shape revealing what it will become.
In addition to stone carving, Pete has resumed his passion for metal working. His latest creations are hammered copper and brass, heat treated to bring out a rainbow of color, “Painting with Fire”. Born in the mountains of Colorado, from a family of hard rock miners, Pete has always been called to the sound of steel on stone.
