Colorado Mountain Art Gallery announces its Featured Artists for July 2020
Georgetown, Colorado - Colorado Mountain Art Gallery, located at 406 6th Street in Georgetown, Colorado, is proud to announce two of its artists to be featured during the month of July 2020 at the gallery. Jay Norris and Bunny Rankin, both members of this art co-operative gallery, have been selected for this honor.
Acrylic Paintings on Canvas
Jay Norris lives in Castle Rock, Colorado. She loves Colorado and spends much of her time appreciating its beauty while hiking, photographing, and painting.
Jay began studying the art of acrylic painting in 2004. She attended courses at the Valerie Snyder Art Studio in Colorado, and has studied under the instruction of Michael Carroll, professional artist from Littleton. She teaches art courses seasonally and is an award-winning artist.
Jay is fond of plein air painting because it allows her to soak up the atmosphere of a location and be inspired. She enjoys traveling around the world with her husband, Mike, and spending time with her family in Colorado. Mike will often carry her supplies to the top of a mountain trail so Jay can spend the day doing what she loves--acrylic painting.
Pasquale Jewelry Designs
As an Italian descendant, during a visit to Italy I was intrigued by Murano Glass and Murano glass beads, so I purchased a beautiful Murano necklace. Years later I was devastated when it broke but knew it had to be repaired. After meeting a well-known jewelry designer and maker, I learned how to not only repair my broken necklace, but I learned I had a passion for creating necklaces. Over the next 10 years I have made many necklaces with unique gemstones and beads, I love creating and designing, but also do custom work.
